International Wildlife Photography Contest 2025

Wildlife Photographer, Aviculturist, Chennai Canine Club, Beagle Association of India, Aero Modeller, Film Director, Entrepreneur, Philanthropist. Vetri Duraisamy loved nature and wildlife so much that he merged with it while trying to follow a rare species.
Director Vetri Maaran’s International Institute of Film and Culture is pleased to announce the Vetri Duraisamy Memorial International Wildlife Photography Contest. Vetri Duraisamy was a passionate wildlife photographer and nature enthusiast. IIFC is privileged to launch this Contest in his memory. It will be an annual feature starting from 2025. All amateur and professional photographers are encouraged to send in their best images of Wildlife and Wildlands from around the world and from their own habitats.
Entries are welcome in the following categories:
Category 1:
1. Birds of any species
2. Mammals of any species
3. Baby Animals: young ones of any species
4. Other Wildlife: underwater life, reptiles, amphibians, insects, spiders and other microorganisms
5. Landscapes and Plants: from broad vistas to leaves and single flowers
6. People in Nature: humans responsibly enjoying the wildlife and wilderness
7. Rare Species
Category 2:
Mobile: Photos taken with mobile phones or tablets
Category 3:
Young Nature Photographer: Open to ages 13 to 17
What one needs to do:
1. Register for the contest through the Google Form, furnishing all the necessary details
2. Submit your entries on the appropriate date.
(One participant can send in up to 3 entries in different categories.)
3. Entries should include all relevant details such as camera specifics, country and location, time, and date.
4. Participants may also make sure that the images are not doctored or AI-generated
5. The Contest is open to all Wildlife Photography enthusiasts from across the globe and from all over India. There is no age limit.
The Plan and the Process:
1. An expert panel of eminent photographers will serve as the jury members
2. Attractive cash awards will be given to the winners
3. The best photo and photographer will receive the Vetri Duraisamy Memorial Award
4. All photographs submitted for the contest will also be shared by IIFC on their gallery and social media pages
